Brand Values

Core values are the foundation for any blossoming business! I come from a family of entrepreneurs, so when it was my time to create something of my own I knew having strong core values was extremely important. In case you don’t know, core values are essentially the top priorities or ideologies of a brand or business. These elements provide direction in how a brand, person, or business operates. Now I know you didn’t come here for a lesson in building a business, so let’s get to the point! When I originally built Bare in my head, choosing core values was my biggest struggle. My dad being the smart businessman that he is, advised me that the best and strongest businesses have three core values. What an incredible task he left me with! After dozens of lists and hours of indecision I still was stuck. It wasn’t until I began truly building my business that my core values became clear. The three values I share with you today are those which Bare has grown from and will never waiver on: experience, a holistic approach, and eco-responsibility.

Experience

After working in the retail world for many years and owning my bridal makeup business I knew how important experience was as a core value. From beginning to end a great experience is always remembered and appreciated. For myself, I realized many of the brands and businesses I loved and supported were those that created memorable experiences. I mean who doesn’t like to feel welcomed, important, and understood? From that thought I strived to create a brand and space that would allow for those kind of experiences to be had. I wanted my clients to feel calm, relaxed, and taken care of from the moment I said hello to the time they left my space.

Holistic Approach

You might be asking, what does it mean to be holistic? Holism is the philosophy that one part is no greater than the whole being. In other words, everything is connected and must be considered. As an esthetician this belief was easy to understand when I was creating Bare. After working with the skin and learning so much about how it behaves, I knew the importance of looking at all the factors. Diet, daily routine, mental health, physical health, they all have an impact on how the skin functions! So rather than simply treating the skin how it would appear, I made it a core practice to always dive deeper.

Eco-Responsibility

This principle actually came to mind while I was still training to be an esthetician. I was always baffled by how much waste was produced in the spa environment daily. Wood sticks, cotton buds, esti wipes, cotton rounds, wax strips, product, etc. It was unbelievable. I didn’t realize how important this was to me until I began planning services and ordering product. Waxing in particular made me extremely uncomfortable with the amount of waste per service I would be creating. When I discovered sugaring I was overjoyed by the minimal waste! With the environment in mind it made selecting products all the more challenging. I wanted eco friendly packaging for the products I used and retailed, searched for products that had mindfully sourced ingredients, and ultimately chose to work with other brands that held eco-responsibility at the top of their priorities. Being mindful of our home was an easy choice for me to make.

There you have it! The three core values of Bare. Beliefs that make this brand special and important! They are values that I hold dear and will always stand my ground on. I hope they help you get a better understanding of who I am and what it means when you choose to show your support!
